What kind of foam?

Hey guys, I have an old briefcase of which I have stripped most of the insides with the intention of turning it into a camera and lens case.

I've been looking for that soft gray foam that I can cut pieces out of in order to fit the cam and lenses, but my problem is I can't seem to find it. They didn't have it at my local home depot, so I thought I'd search google. Well that hasn't worked out because I apparently don't know what that kind of foam is called. All that turns up is styrofoam. :(

Anyone know what this is called and where I might be able to find it? I'd prefer not to pay shipping on something so cheap, but if you at least know a website that sells it, that would be a start :)

Thanks guys!

There is also PickNpluck which is scored in a grid, and you pluck out with your fingers. Pelican cases uses this..

For what its worth, my local Dicks sporting good store has hand gun cases with some version of picknpluck for about the same price as the foam in the link. I dont see them on the dicks website, or rather, it doesn't say anything about the picknpluck foam.. but large pistol case for $24, with foam might be a good alternative.

I sorta have a thing with foam. Iv been collecting pieces from work for about year now.. I have too much.. but shipping to you is not worth it.

Hit up your local computer\electronics super store, places like that might just be throwing it out.
I goggled "chicago foam" and see lots of manufactures.. Just give em call and ask them if they have small pieces etc..
