Hey Guys,

We have recently shot a 1hr feature no budget feature, and are in need of a composer to help is bring the film to a close.

The film was shot across 28 days by 2 teams one in the UK the other in LA. It is a mockumentary about the making of a sci-fi film... which starts out with a great deal of promise and gradually becomes a nightmare!

A cut of the film is online with a temp mocked up score. It is a unique prospect given its format, there is a wide variety of musical styling... from "Flash Gordon" queen to, "Spaced" funk, to Zimmer-esq score for movie scenes.

As I said this is a No budget production, but has the potential to do very well, and test viewings have given positive response. But don't take my word for it, shoot me a message and you can have a look yourself

Hi, im a recent graduate in music composition.

I own all of my own recording equipment so that isn't a problem

Slightly off-topic: As a software guy with a full-time job, what would be the recommended path for me to learn composition? I've gone just about as far as I can go with with what natural talent I have -- I've hit a wall and it's very frustrating to me. Scoring Adam Funn made it abundantly clear to me that composing by accident takes too long and isn't much fun. I'd like to know what I'm doing for a change.

I've checked out various musical theory books but nothing's really clicked with me. Any suggestions for learning material (or any recommended teachers or programs in Seattle) would be

I am amazed at how many musicians are so desperate as to work for free. Studio teachers hold their ground and make $200 a day minimum. Crew people make $125 - $150 a day. Actors $100 a day. Musicians working for free? Have fun.
