Panasonic AG-HMC40 hdmi question

Hey gang,

I am still in the hunt for my first cam. HV40 was on the hot seat for a month until I figured that I could spend a bit more and get more manual control. I was set on a Canon xh a1s and found out about the Panny hmc40.

I noticed it says that it has hdmi out. The touchscreen is only 2.5", is there a way to buy a 6-8" lcd panel and run the hdmi to it for live recording? It would make shooting so much easier for some shots.

Anyone?

Great!

so can someone steer me in the right direction for a basic lcd setup? Camera, brand of screen, hdmi cable.. do i need a bracket or frame to set it up and do I need a separate power supply?

Thanks for the input

Several of them out there, but a 7" costs almost as much as your camera, in the $1000 to $1500 range. Someone may know of a lower cost model, but for HD probably not.

Actually, a quick search turned up this Marshall for $900
