I'm a student about to start Film school soon so I decided to check this place out and possibly get some tips. I also am a screenwriter, I use Final Draft 8 for all my scripts but now I want to direct someday also so I am going to film school.

Welcome. Make sure to take advantage of internship opportunities as early as possible. They are a great way to get real world experience without being pinned to one job.

Also, keep networking. You never know who you'll meet that will share your interests in the field. You may find some great friends, associates, partners--think Spielberg and Lucas.
