Sony FX-1000 or Sony AX-2000, for indie films?

i have researched both cameras thoroughly, and here are the differences that i have found...

sony fx1000 = 3 x 1/3 cmos @ 1.2 mp each, 1440 x 1080, NO XLR, Firewire 1394, + mini DV tape...

sony ax2000 = 3 x 1/3 cmos @ 1.01 mp each, 1920 x 1080, 2 XLR, USB, NO 1394, NO TAPE, digital duo card, SD card...

my basic question is some people complained that the ax2000 did not have firewire....but firewire is only needed if you are scanning DV tapes to hard drives right?

i would assume recording directly to a 32 gb sony duo would be better since it has that blueray compatible codec and it doesnt lose quality like a tape would....but there are very high quality tapes out there tho...

i found the FX1000 for $2900 brand new, and the AX2000 for $3400....

so which one do you guys sincerely recommend for the best features and quality? i want to acheive the film like cinema effects....which i know the fx1000 has....does the ax2000 have all the same features and film effects of the fx1000 has and then some?

thanks for all the help!!
