Distributor Screenings

Looking to set up a screening for distributors. Any advice/experiences to share? What days of the week are best, what times and where (if screening in Los Angeles)?

Thanks!

Very few distributors will attend a screening of a
movie without names - in front of or behind the
camera. So there really are no "best" times or
day of the week.

There are dozens of screening rooms available in
Los Angeles. Most will charge in the $800 to $1,400
range for two showings. Now I haven't tried this
personally but I know several filmmaker who have:
set up two screenings per day for five days at one
of the smaller, more well known screening rooms.
Have plenty of "perks" - for morning shows bagels
with (good) lox, Starbucks coffee, muffins and
Mimosa's - for afternoon/evening shows home made
tamales (from some well known place), a well stocked
tapas bar and some cocktails and expensive bottled
water.

You might get some buzz if your perks are good enough
and you offer enough screenings.
