I am new too, and I need to learn a lot but I can share what I have learn so far.
There are several websites in the internet dedicated to give information about filmmaking. You can do a search with your favorite search engine and look for tags like video or 101, film schools. Also I need to mention that people in this forum with experience and knowledege have help and guide me with valuable information about these topics. I suggest to look for questions that I have asked here before. There are very good answers.
I hope this help and remember, reading, practicing and asking in my opinion, is the best way to learn. A very important element in the learning process is feedback. Look for it, it will help you improve.

Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.

Unfortunatly, I have not been into that yet, but I am in my way of learning. I am sorry if I am not very specific, I am not sure if I can post the links direclty here. I do not want to break any forum's rules. I am new here too and will take time to learn how to "move" here.
