Hello from the East Coast

Hey,

Found this forum when I was goggling a gift I got for Christmas today. Someone gave me a Mic Preamp...and when I opened it, I had no clue what the heck it even was. its a Xenyx 502. Still not sure how to use it or if I even need it.

Everything on sound I've ever studied about through books or online deals with the use of programs and Boom/Shotgun Mics.

These look like amazing forums, for the aspiring filmmaker, though, and I look forward to being around here for quite a while, if not posting, at least amassing the plethora of information these forums seem to offer.

Ah, New Hampshire. I lived in Conway for a couple years when I was in 8th grade. Beautiful State.
