I normally write shorts but I feel really proud of myself becuase I have finished my first feature.
I know people dont want to listen to me boasting but what I'm trying to say is dont get put off doing something because its a bit of hard work. Keep trying!

Heh, I agree. I'm currently doing my fourth rewrite of my feature length screenplay. And at the end of each draft I think it's perfect until a couple of months later I look back at it and decide it needs work.

Finishing that first draft is definitely cause for celebration. Give yourself a few days off and then come back to the thing. Read through it a couple of times without making any corrections, and then get to work on that 2nd draft.

Set what you are looking for in a good picture.

Write on paper what you set.

Now read your script. And try to solve the puzzle to make your story interesting and good for YOU.

^^^are you ready for a producer yet? I know its really exciting to finish a first draft, but its only been just over a month. I am not knocking you at all, just personally I want to be sure I have the best 120 pages possible in my hand before I even show anyone else, let alone try to get it made. Every person has their own method though. Good luck on the process. I would like to read it, if you have registered it you should upload it somewhere.

Congrats on your accomplishment. I went through a dozen re-writes on my first script, and they do pay off.

I think unless you have contacts you should write a query letter and send it to production companies or agents . You should also write the synopsis. some people are of the view that you should have five scripts at hand for contacting an agent .
some are saying you should have professional coverage . I know all that because i am going on the same road . I also cannot afford a professional coverage , because they charge more than $100 US dollars .
