Most TV shows do use the same DP(s) and Gaffer(s) [sometimes, like LOST, employ 2 DP's who rotate every other episode), plus most TV shows are primarily shot on the same sound stages with the same lighting grids. A TV pilot is shot by a DP who sets the tone for the series and then the crew emulates that basic look for the run of the show, or altering it when needed. It's part of the economics of a TV show versus a feature film too. If you don't have to re-invent the metaphorical wheel of lighting of each episode, then you can save time, which saves on costs with cast & crew.

It's about economics, not just art.

It has tons of interviews with most of the surviving directors and DPs, producers, actors, etc. An illuminating look at how this show was physically made. That they would include the DPs alone makes this worthwhile and inspiring reading for all indie filmmakers.
