Working with an HD project still. Ready to export using Compressor from FCP. I'm going to compress with my usual settings for Youtube. Will it be compressed in SD or a massive HD file? Anyone do this often or have any idea how to export it SD? Thanks.

Your export will be whatever you've told your NLE to export as. :huh:

Yes, exactly, you can set whatever you want the export setting to be - check out the "Geometry" tab in Compressor.

But, realize that Youtube now supports HD videos, so are you SURE you want it to be SD?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have figured out how to do in SD and yes I now want to keep it HD for youtube. I'm still confused how iMovie recognizes the Sony Handycam, however FCP does not? Hmmm...
