After years of being in the film industry, and learning through sets, experience, and forums alike, I've decided to pay my dues and help fellow filmmakers in their

long, painfull, extremely fustrating journey to making it in the industry.

Each week I will write a detailed peice regarding a particular area in film making. Suprisingly, they don't teach a lot of this in film school.

All I ask in return is that you leave a comment saying 'Yay' or 'Nay', and any thoughts/oppinions on the subject. If there's enough want for me to continue, I will. If not, I will simply stop and spare you the pain.



I will go over things from every aspect of filmmaking, including:
-Producing
-Directing
-Cinematography
-Assistant Camera
-Gaffing
-Gripping
-Ect

Along with misc. aspects, including:
-Walkie Etiquette
-Crafty Etiquette
-Film Lingo
-Pay rates
-Festivals
-Ect

And dive deep into each section and teach/talk about things including:
-How to Call a Slate
-How to Call a Shot
-Time Managment
-Budgeting
-Legal issues
-Ect

From first time filmmaker to those trying to get your foot in the door, I hope there will be something to learn.

I'm not sure how I'm going to do it, maybe put it in a blog so it isnt messy.

Not sure the best way to make it neat. Maybe if people like it enough it can have its own sub-forum

I was thinking about that, or a video webcast.

But lets see if people like it first before I go crazy :)

Great idea, I'd definately like to hear some tips from someone with experience in the industry.
