I've never edited 35mm before, but I'm working on an indie music video that was shot 35mm and telecined to 29.97 SD. I'm being given just one big video file of everything that was shot. Is this typically how files come in after being scanned, and the editors have to cut it up into pieces, shot by shot in the NLE?

It's not typical.

It's been typical for me, unless I requested it some other way. I generally telecine to tape, either DVCAM or Digibeta (or both). I haven't done a telecine to HD.

I've always gotten it on Dbeta. Never a file.
