I've seen countless tutorials on how to achieve a 'hit by car' effect.
And this one seems really good:

Anyone know how to get this effect with Final Cut Express?

I also haven't seen much of the 'twisting person' style before. As in when the car hits, the person shifts instead of standing straight.

You can roto and mask in FCE like ya can in AE. Hence the AE tutorial. Open it up and start practicing, man. After Effects is your buddy.
