I contributed to making this video for a makeup and skincare company's online video contest to make a Beauty BS Spoof Ad. Basically, make a video that advertises products with crazy unrealistic promises. Or products that would never work.

In order for us to make it into the top 10 finalists, we need one of the highest ratings of all the videos. So give us a rating after you watch! It's the star meter, in case it's confusing.
Some info on the project:
We shot it with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The shallow depth of field made keying out the green screen a hassle especially because it was just a green table cloth!
Keying and tracking were done in After Effects, though we only got about 6 hours to do the whole thing (which ended up being pretty complicated in its execution) so a few of the keys and tracks are a bit hurried and half-assed. Do what you can to get it out before the deadline I suppose!
The makeup on the girl after each "product" was expertly done by Jessica Jade Jacob, our makeup person and the one who wanted to do the contest. Runners up get a years supply of Cosmedicine products!
Being that the camera has no way to monitor audio, and we don't have the JuicedLink cx231 yet, much to our dismay, we found out a lot of the audio didn't take. For whatever reason it just didn't record to the camera. Buying the JuicedLink is the next step in the process in working with the 5DM2.
The guy in the lipstick ad-libbed everything he said and it turned out to be a great dialogue between the two actors.
All in all, we think it turned out pretty well! The colors are great and we're really impressed with the camera's performance. Second thoughts on blurry edges in front of a green screen though
