Hello, in March of next year I will be heading off for a desert like place with lots of dust. I want to document my journey there and I am wondering if there are any Flash card capable Dust proof camcorders out there?

I don't want a high end camera because I will be in rouged terrain and having it be compact will save space and weight.

So does anyone know of a camera like this?

I don't know if it's dust proof, but there's really no moving parts... you could take a look at something like the Aiptek ActionHD (http://www.aiptek.com/Products/GVS/)

doesn't get much more compact than that.
