Musician here looking at indie film as the medium of the future.

Hi, I'm a musician (bass player, generally), and I've joined here in order to learn more about what independent filmmakers need and look for in soundtracks. I work with lots of different bands near the Philly area and whenever they moan about the dearth of gigs or the savagery or irrelevance of record labels and the music business in general I always tell them to seek out indie film people. It occurred to me therefore that maybe I ought to do that first before I keep endorsing it as a strategy!

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this board!
