What input are you using on the computer? Or are you using an audio card or interface?

i am using the mic 3.5mm input, i believe. It's the color pink and is next to the headphone input, exact same shape.

Just a couple, they have many, get the one you need. Phantom power? Firewire? The Line 6 is good, if you need more features they make more.

If you are sure that the input you are using is the mic input then you make sure that you have a fresh battery in the NTG-2 (they tend to "eat" batteries relatively fast).

You also need to check on the input levels on whatever software you are using and also the computers interfacing panel.

You would be much better off with an audio card or an AV card.
