Whenever I have a new project, I go into it hoping it will be a bit more smooth sailing because of some problem that I was able to fix in the last project. But no. some infuriating new issue crops up every time. :grumpy:

Here's the new issue:

I am doing some basic motion moves - a simple 'tilt' effect move of a picture. The 'tilt' part is fine, the problem is that when I click on the picture to see it in the viewer, the picture is clear. When I look at it in the canvas, the picture is blurry. Even after I render the effect.

Oh, lucky me. Yet another irritation to slow me down. Anybody know why the picture in the canvas and on the timeline is blurry? I assume I'm missing some step, but I can't seem to figure out what that is

don't trust the canvas (or the viewer for that matter)... they dumb down the image to run at a close to actual speed as possible.

....so, just 'cuz it looks a little blurry, doesn't necessarily mean its blurry  I have been taught that often enough I should trust my eyes.

I know when I import footage, the focus is a bit soft, but not when everything is imported and ready to be edited so that's not what I'm looking at....

Okay, I'll take your word for it  and let you know what happens....

Set your in and out points on the timeline and do a short test output to see how the full quicktime output looks.
