This is a film I did last fall for a production class. The original concept was to have a young girl who falls in love with a male blow up doll. However, it felt too much like Lars and the Real Girl.

One evening in a horror class I was taking, my professor mentioned we need to gross out the audience. Have an idea that's grotesque. First thing that came to mind was Maggots.

On that note, this film was inspired by the urban internet legend of the girl who self pleasured herself with maggots.

Please beware---this film does contain nudity. If you're offended by this type of content, please don't watch.

Well, I don't have speakers on my computer at the moment, so no sound. But here's my opinion on the video:

I thought the actual filming was done pretty well. Lighting, angles, etc.

The scene transitions were pretty jerky. Try to figure out some better transitions. You faded out a few times, that looked a lot better to me than just boom! next scene.

The part where she called 911 was kinda messed up, I think you should have figured out a better way to film that whole part. It kind of appeared, then disappeared, than reappeared. I gathered she got sick afterward, so maybe you were going for that effect. I still think, though, that you could have done it better.

The last comment is not so much on filming but acting. If you have a choice of more than one or two people willing to go topless for a film, try to find someone who can take their pants off with a bit more style! lol, I know this is kind of a silly point, but I've watched some modeling-type shows (Battle of the Bods on Spike, I believe it was) and this was something the judges talked about, the inability of one of the female contestants to take her pants off quickly, while being smooth.

Note that I'm not a professional in any aspect of filmmaking, so this is only my slightly-educated opinion.

Yeah, I agree with the shaky transitions, especially the scene where she throws down the milk carton.

The undressing part I kinda understand haha. I really didn't want this to be hot or sexy. Instead, I wanted this scene to be as unsettling as possible. Perhaps even confuse you and ask yourself "should I be aroused or revolted?"

When I showed this to 200 people in a small theater, the reaction was completely mixed. There were plenty of "ugh, ugh ugh ugh why?!" ones and the one "I need to go to Church now!" comment. All the negative ones satisfied me. And for those who actually enjoyed it, good for them but I question exactly What they liked about it......

The acting is suppose to be over the top as well, as it's an over the top story. But yeah. :lol:

Not really my cup of tea but still, you've got a really willing actor who doesn't mind doing that kind of acting if you know what i'm saying. Like i said i find it a bit distasteful but then again thats me, some people like this kind of film and i'm sure it sparked controversy at your viewing so i admire you for doing that.

I thought this film was a little bit silly

I'm not sure if it was clear what her motivations were apart from wanting to be 'dirty'

There were a couple of shots that I felt were interesting; the shot down the hallyways of her legs in the bathroom being the most notable.

Not really sure why this film was made really. The idea of her masturbating with a cat was humorous for a moment or two, especially when I saw the cat, but I'm not sure if you wanted me to laugh or not

one more thing, I think the titles at the end should be consistent. I don't think the font should change

It's simply a film about self destruction. The extreme measures we're willing to commit to simply "get off."

I really didn't want to make sexuality beautiful in this, nor hot or sexy, or whatever...it's an ugly film really.

And it's meant to be over the top...yeah, I wish I would've just cut her dialogue out but whatever. lol

Sadly, there was much more character development in the script but due to the time restraint, I cut a lot of stuff out...I knew I should've had a director's cut. Oh well.

um pretty good concerning the fact that you actually
persuaded the girl to get naked...
That's pretty hard. Director actor trust all the way man.
But I don't think you got the message across...
It was too pornographic, so the distraction
was too much for the audience to pay attention to the actual
storyline and message of the story.
That's why pornos fail at storyline.

btw it's not porn. The reason storylines in pornographic films fail is because those films are meant to arouse you. So who pays attention to the plot?

That was actually pretty cool. I dont mean this in a mean way, but the pointlessness of it was awesome. It made the title that much better.

And a sidenote, I'm pretty sure I'd watch anything with her in it. I mean that in the most respectful way possible.

I'll also agree that the nudity and her moaning was a little distracting.
