I would really like to take my film making to the next level by getting a good camera that i can plug a boom mic into for good sound. Because right now im stuck with a Flip. I am planning on buying a mac also. Sooo i need a camera that is Final Cut compatable. It has either XLR outputs or a place to plug in an XLR Adapter. It doesnt matter to me if its MiniDV or Hard drive. I am looking for something relatively cheap. I am taking an interest in 3 cameras i found all under 1500$

I want a 3-CCD for sure. I must also have a manual focus, progressive scan, white balance, and image stabalization. Any ideas would be great. The camera doesn't have to be the best thing out there, I would just like something with the specs above. Thanks!

When you find a $3,000 camera for under $1,500 beware!

Check out these threads for cameras in you price range.

You wont be getting the XL2 for under $2000 used, But the dvx100b's go for around $1300 on ebay. They are a very nice camera, does everything a filmmaker needs. Also the dvx100a is very similar and can be had even cheaper.
