Scoopicman 02-23-2009, 12:10 AM John Williams Jerry Goldsmith Tangerine Dream John Carpenter (the man who most influenced me to buy my first synth) Bernard Herrmann (I have 3 CDs and one Album of his 1951 THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL soundtrack) Danny Elfman Alan Silvestri (love the PREDATOR and BACK TO THE FUTURE music) James Horner (especially early stuff, like STAR TREK 2 and BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS) John Barry Giorgio Moroder (CAT PEOPLE, AMERICAN GIGOLO, SCARFACE) Christopher Young Arthur B. Crap, I'm showing my age. :lol: There are others like Mark Isham (THE HITCHER) and Brad Fiedel (TERMINATOR 1 & 2), but I'm trying to think of composers that are some of my repeat favorites. spinner 02-23-2009, 09:23 PM Danny Elfman - who should have won for the South Park soundtrack. He makes you believe that maybe, just maybe Kyle's mom is a big fat b**ch! He was nominated for the soundtrack to Milk, but Slumdog Millionaire cut down everything in its path. I also remember Giorgio Moroder for Midnight Express. I heard he did some music for the Grand Theft Auto video game. -- spinner :cool: |
