Question Regardings Color Temp

I'm putting together some DIY lighting. On the plus side, I already have some "usable" equipment:

2 2x500 halogen worklights on 6' tripods
4 Par38 cans
Sunlight in a box (3x35watt flourescent U-shaped lamps w/ diffuser)
Clamp lights

What I'm not sure of, is what I should be paying attention to in regards to color temperature.

I have some floods/spots for the Par38's that are probably around 2700. I'm assuming the Sunlight-in-a-box is > 5500. And I'm guessing the Halogens are... 2700-3000?

So... what should I be considering when buying bulbs? How closely should I match color temp?

FYI, I'm shooting standard def digital and editing on the computer.

Thanks!

hi,

depends on a look you are going for...you should invest in some gels to correct temp to the way you want to light the scene....you will need defusson as well...216,250 stuff like that..you can cut these and put them in frames and use them over and over....
