i posted a few days ago about camera confusion. I think i've made up my mind, and am leaning towards the panasonic AG-DVX100a (or b...if the price is right). what i can't seem to find information about this camera is: How is the durability over time. Obviously, it's an older model, but does Panasonic make a camera that functions well over time like Canon and Sony? or is this a camera i will have to worry about getting service often for? Any info on this topic would be a huge help.

thanks.

The DVX100 is a great camera... and so long as you're not throwing it off buildings and running it over with cars it should be plenty durable.

We shot our feature with it. I agree with Will. It's a great camera.

I would definatly consider picking up a redrock m2 adaptor for that camera.
