Hey guys, been awhile. I've have an old school, hand-drawn animation I've been working on for awhile~although the last couple years I haven't drawn any new sequences. I have completed about 45 minutes (of a proposed feature length) of animation on plain old 8 1/2"x11" typing papers using any pigments I could get my hands on, mainly tempera paints and pastels.
I have a 128 page booklet of my completed shots which, believe it or not, amounts to over 900 *shots*. I've only recently tried scanning the cels. Below are the first 38 pages of my booklet and two very short and low res (the artwork is much, much more detailed) sequences from the work. I'm scanning into a program called Tapptoons at the lowest possible res because I just don't have the equipment/power/storage to do other wise.
My logline:
In this satirization of the 'Myth of Demeter', 8 1/2 heads high LULU DEREN personifies the Greek ideal of perfection, but she still doesn't measure up in the 18 eyes of her beautiful nine-bodied MOTHER.

Really fantastic stuff, bird!
I've found myself more and more interested in animation over the past year -- with that interest has come a lot of hours of sifting through YouTube for animated shorts -- I have to say that these two you've posted are far more imaginative than most I've seen.

Holy cow...absolutely outstanding. I was absolutely riveted, as was my three year old son, who is presently begging me to watch it again.
