I do hope this post is okay for this forum...
I am looking to cooperate with a filmmaker for a product I'm creating. It is very low budget, and will include some virtually-free-style film. I am trying to understand the filmmaker's interests, besides monetary, so we can both benefit.
The only requirement I have is that we have no conflicting interests - that is, that I can distribute the product myself - sell it or give it away. So for example the filmmaker can enter it to film festivals or anything that could promote him/her or their crew.
Any ideas about anything else I can offer, besides credits and personal usage rights?
What is reasonable pay for such work? I am really looking for the lowest possible budget for this film - so the film can't be complicated production-wise.
