A big Irish hello to everyone here. I have directed 9 music videos (2 were shot in the states) and 4 short film. I am currently promoting my latest, Deviant. Looking forward to hearing feedback and reading the views of fellow independent film-makers.

In short - its a rat race! The film business itself is quite small and the indie sector is just as competitive. Also a lot of people get caught up in feeling they have to make an "Irish film" and allthough there is nothing wrong with wanting to tell stories about your country's particular culture, history or identity, I feel more film-makers should just make movies that are accessible to an international audience. That's my ambition at least.
