prop organs how to?

anyone have any good links to DIY prop organs?


looking for some intestines, maybe a brain, heart, kidneys? anything really..
i know how to use latex, and plaster molds, but im really looking for a tech on realist looking edible organs.


any links, or info would be a big help!


also.. any tips on creating that classic george romero "zombie" look.

If you want them edible, then your best bet is to cast your props in gelatin. They did this in the 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes, the scene where one of the hill people is eating a heart, that was a gelatin heart...

You can get molds for heart, brain, and eyes from Qwiggle.

You mean something like this:

It's done with prosthetics and various types of makeup. You sculpt the
zombies in clay, cast molds and use either foam latex or prosthetic
grade gelatin and then paint it.

And Will is right. I've done a lot of edible props. Food grade gelatin is
the way to go.
