I have a question regarding juridical issues.
I am living in Shanghai China and would like to make some shootings around the city (not GTA style.. more like amateur filmmaker wannabe style :P). Is there any kind of permit that I must have to do just random shootings? I will not look professional eheh, just my camera and tripod, but I would like to avoid some unnecessary time spent on a Chinese jail...

I would like to know regarding your experience, what should I do and where do you generally get those papers if they are indeed needed. Any input from a Chinese indie filmmaker would be even better ;)
