Hey guys, I need some help here. I will break it down to make my question more understandable.
Basically if I shoot a small scene in color. For example, John doe stabs Jane doe and blood goes everywhere. How do I make it in editing software(sony vegas8), so that I can make it black and white, EXCEPT for red colors(blood). Sort of like Sin City...? I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks

One of the contestants in last year's Chiller TV competition did a movie in black and white with red blood and described the process this way: "...as for how i did the red blood, we painted thick green slime and then green screened the green slime on after effects. kinda like sin city"
It worked pretty well, here's his movie, "Canopy Hills (http://www.chillertv.com/Dare_To_Direct/Video_Gallery/31520.shtml)"
I would imagine you could use any compositing software to do the greenscreen.
Hope that helps!

I found this thing in vegas, it saturates all the colors to black and white, except red colors. It is very easy to do; only draw back is, it only works with red, no other colors. But for what im doing now, it is awesome. Thanks guys

Sorry, I didn't see this before. Its done with color correction, and is very easy to do. Here's how its done in FCP but its the same pretty much for all NLE's. http://www.lafcpug.org/tutorials/basic_pleasantville_look.html
