Hey everyone. I'm new to the film industry and I need some help.

I am applying to a new program at my current college eg. Film Arts.

Now, I've met almost all the requirements except:

For Directors: a letter of application citing your goals in joining the Film Arts Program, and a video portfolio (VHS, mini-dv, or DVD) of maximum six minutes to which he or she has contributed in a key creative role of director, actor, cinematographer or editor. These will not be returned.

Now, there is no way I can shoot at all. The snow has taken over for the last week, at the same time, I can't call people during the last minute.

So I'm wondering if anyone has any videos, which I could edit. eg. add some effects etc.. with the video editing programs I have... Obviously credit would go to the person, who created the video too.

Hopefully someone can lend a hand.

Thanks.

How about cutting together a music video from royalty-free material?

ahh yes I could do that.. it reminds me of people, who've done AMV's..

Just wondering where I could find royalty free material though?

http://www.archive.org has a huge selection of old (1920s-1960s) videos and movies that have gone out of copyright.
