Crash Dummy?

For a film I'm begining to write, I want to have a girl get hit by a car, while walking with her boyfriend. I'm trying to think of ways as to have a look-a-like dummy in the place of the girl, but I need to know how to plan the shot.

Any tips?

I saw a wire removal tutorial for combustion on a mac addict CD once that had this same effect, but with a wire pull instead of moving a still photo of the person being hit. Don't know where to find it online at all through.

Mac addict magazine changed their name to Mac life not too long ago.

Most NLE's have garbage mattes, so you could in theory do it all within the NLE, garbage matte and keyframe. Best practice though, as indie said, is generally to do this suggestively if you don't have the proper tools to work with, or it probably won't look right.

The example in the tutorial looks pretty fake when completed in my opinion.. I think part of the problem there was the blood he added, it just looks wrong.
