Hi,

I'm extremely new to all this so I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on auditioning actors for the roles?

How does it all work? Do you place an add somewhere and expect people to turn up or do you contact agencies?

As this is my first movie I am not looking at a movie star or anything just good talent to get the movie noticed.

I'm from the UK if thats of any help to anyone.

I think one of the main questions is what's in it for them? Exposure, money, expences or just some practice and the fun of making a film.

I usually canvas friends, then amateur drama groups and occasionally semi professionals. For the later two I offer a token payment, expences and a detailed explaination of what kind of exposure (if any) the film will get. Also a brief outline of the film incase that might draw them in.

To be honest I've only done it a couple of times. So I might be totally wrong.
