Hello, everyone, I am The Velvet Mariachi!
The Velvet Mariachi has been a longtime lurker but only recently decided to expose himself.
At any rate, The Velvet Mariachi thought he would take this time to let you know about a call for projects that Marc Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Mavericks, posted to his blog (http://www.blogmaverick.com/2007/05/14/wanted-new-tv-show-ideas/). As the owner of HDnet, he asked for new ideas that he could develop into television shows.
The Velvet Mariachi has already posted several suggestions (entries #566, #567, #568, #569 (http://www.blogmaverick.com/2007/05/14/wanted-new-tv-show-ideas/29#comments), #737 (http://www.blogmaverick.com/2007/05/14/wanted-new-tv-show-ideas/37#comments), #764 (http://www.blogmaverick.com/2007/05/14/wanted-new-tv-show-ideas/39#c5034309), #786 and #791 (http://www.blogmaverick.com/2007/05/14/wanted-new-tv-show-ideas/40#comments)).
With so many good ideas from The Velvet Mariachi, the competition is probably all tied at this point. But give it a go anyway, there is always room for another brilliant filmmaker on the roster (although I suspect they can only handle one true mariachi - so if you're into sombreros and bolero jackets, you might want to keep that to yourself)!
