What I gave you is step by step except for this: once the title generator is in the sequence double-click it and it opens in the Viewer. Click the Control tab and you're set.

In Book III of the manuals, on page 495, it has all the info. you need about titles.

in the browser window (not the canvas, the other one) with the video tab selected, in the lower right hand corner is a picture of an A set into a filmstrip...pull that down to reveal the generators.
