I am a few days away from signing a contract to allow distribution of my film. One thing that's throwing me off, however, is their request of six separate audio tracks (1-2 dialog, 3-4 sfx, 5-6 music). Now the film will be delivered on DigiBeta but it is my understanding that DigiBeta only allows up to four audio tracks. Am I wrong in this assumption? If I am in fact right how does one deliver the audio tracks to the distributor?

Sounds like they are asking for the standard deliverables. They are going to need separate M&E (music and effects) tracks for the foreign language dub. My assumption is they are asking for stereo tracks. You should deliver these tracks in addition to the Digibeta of the final movie.
Ask what format they want.

Usually, for foreign the standard digi delivery is a Digibeta with 4 ch digital audio:
CH1 & 2: Full Stereo Mix
CH3 & 4: Music and Effects Track
However, you can get 6 tracks from a DA-88, which is also a standard delivery. It's audio only, and it can be layed down from your FCP OMFs.
Cheers!
