Be a friend - eeeeek!

Hi Friends -
I'm taking a trepidacious step into MySpace - land. I am soo out of my comfort zone, but - here goes. My DP put together a page for our short film, Shooters, and we are in need of 'friends.' I know people are friendly here, so if anyone is so inclined, check out our page and become a pal. I will then do the same for you on your myspace page if you like. I guess I'm in need a tutorial on the 'value' of myspace. If anyone has words of wisdom to share, or can point me toward any, please....

I think MySpace is wonderful, personally, as a grassroots tool to gain market awareness, a privilege that until recently was available only with studio advertising dollars.
