What % of profits do producer's reps usually take? And is it usually based on producer's points? Or producer's and investor's points? Usually producers don't make money until 2nd monies come in, so would that be the same time that producer's reps start making money?

It seems that going rate for a producer's rep (or any distributor for that matter) is 20%-25%.

20%-25% of what? Of producer's 50 points that occur after 1st monies are paid to investors? So would that be 10 - 12 points?

Say the Sales Rep finds a distributor willing to pay $10,000 for a territory. They'll take 20%-25% of that.

so far i've found the norm: sales agent 20-25 % / prod. rep. retainer up front (5-12k) and 10% of gross.

don't ask me to be more specific - still trying to wrap my head around it all! lol
