This is my week for asking dumb technical questions!
So, here goes -- Is there a difference between PAL and NTSC mini-dv tape stock or is mini-dv tape stock universal?
The reason I'm asking is that I'm playing with the idea of buying a US HDV camera to take away with me, that uses mini-dv tape stock.
I can edit in either PAL or NTSC -- but I don't want any tape stock supply issues and I don't know any UK based producers who use NTSC (for the obvious reason that PAL is fundamentally a better system in most production circumstances)
